In Freaking New Orleans

It snowed on me.


This was right before I went into work.

It's snowing, it's getting worse and it's starting to stick. I'm a little bit worried about being able to get home later. o_O It's not just because I'm afraid of driving in snow and ice but also because they'll most likely close the bridges. I'm taking more pictures as the day goes on.

LOL, it's so funny how everything shuts down in the south when it snows. In MN, people are still expected to get to work on time during a snowstorm...

BTW it doesn't look like the snow is staying on the ground--it's probably melting because the ground isn't cold enough--so you shouldn't have any problem driving.

The south is completely unprepared for this seeing as how this generally doesn't happen. Everyone in my office is at work. As far as I can tell, the only thing that's 'shut down' are some primary schools in towns further north of here.

I know--it never snows, so there's no point in having a snow removal system or salt to put on the roads or anything of that nature. Maybe most things in New Orleans will stay open since it isn't on the ground, though.

I wish it were snowing here right now--it's 27F, but no precipitation. :)

I like it when it's between 15 and 35--anything below 15 is a bit unpleasant, and above 35 is just too hot for winter.

um...yea....its 71 here and raining. I'd love for it to be cold enough for me to wear a gloves - or even a jacket!
